The Arrival of August
August has arrived as Abaco continues to play host to yet another beautiful Summer. The island of Abaco is very much "alive and kickin" with many activities going on.
Crawfish season started August 1. Please contact us at www.AbacoAgent.com for a schedule of the regulations.
The Abaco Regatta came to an end with the final awards party at Snappas Restaurant.
The power boat races also attracted big crowds with "The Havana" in class "A" and "Columbus" in class "B" as the big winners.
The Royal Marsh Harbour Yacht Club, which welcomes you as a new member, is on summer holiday with its monthly meetings resuming in October.
Bakers Bay Golf and Ocean Club has started construction work on the Service Pier that will service the development as well as the settlement of Great Guana Cay. The dock will be 300 feet long with a roll-on, roll-off dock, a load-on load-off dock and a fueling system. Work began on June 1st.
And lastly, for two weeks in a row, Goombay Park, Abaco, was filled with people who had come to enjoy the lively attractions organized by the Ministry of Tourism. Once again Goombay Festival was a very popular evening with locals and visitors filling the park and patronizing the various vendors and the bar. The last Goombay of this Summer will be on August 11th.
