The Annual Art Show was a great success with many old and new friends represented. Some new faces, such as Rhonda Lowe, with her lovely Abaco photos, were very welcome while it is always great to again see such stalwarts as Anne and Pat Ray.
As usual, coinciding with the show is the annual general meeting of the Great Abaco Club property owners. This neighbourhood has become one of our most prestigious with its smartly appreciating property values, expertly managed maintenance and rental programs and sheltered deepwater dockage. Please have a look at www.AbacoAgent.com/listings/l0033.html for a recently sold example of what this island community offers.
Toni Van Mill is back after an absence of several months. Several of her many friends are celebrating with her tonight.
The Royal Marsh Harbour Yacht Club recently held a Chili Cook-off. Go to www.RMHYC.com and click on photos for some great shots. This must be the most democratic club of its kind in the world. $125., an introduction to the Commodore and you're in! You don't even need a boat!

Art and Music on Abaco

Annual Arts Festival: cocktail reception Friday, January 27 under the marquee at the Great Abaco Beach Resort and Marina. All welcome. See a great selection of paintings, prints, notecards, sculpture, jewelery, glass art, ceramics, quilting and more.

Country Music Concert: Sponsored by Tourism Abaco to benefit the Abaco Wild Horse Fund. This wild herd is one of the last in North America. Thought to decend from the Spanish Barb, their arrival in The Bahamas may date back five hundred years. This fund feeds and cares for them. Under the marquee, Saturday, February 4. $25.00 in advance or at the door and starring Nashville's own, Aaron Tippen.

Good morning! It is a beautiful one here on Abaco and temperatures are expected to hit 81 today.
Plans are underway for the annual Art Show at the Abaco Beach Hotel and Marina on January 28-29. This popular event occurs at a time of year when the greatest percentage of homeowners are in residence.
Skeletal remains of extinct animals have been found in the Sawmill Sinkhole, a "blue hole" in south central Abaco. They are believed to be pre-historic and have been sent for further testing. I have a copy of the menu from the newly opened "Curly Tails" restaurant. It looks interesting with an emphasis on fresh and lively cooking. I am headed there soon and will let you know! Their building at the Conch Inn is certainly attractive.
I have just returned from the CyberStar Summit, an annual meeting of the top 200 Realtors in North America. It is a huge privilege for me to have been invited to join this impressive group. Our sole aim is education with the goal of "staying ahead of the curve" when it comes to Realtor applied technology.
Look for changes on our website www.AbacoAgent.com and feel free to make any comments you wish.
Talk to you soon!
